8e6 ProxyBlocker

The 8e6 ProxyBlocker appliance is specifically designed for organizations not using M86 Security Web filtering solutions. The 8e6 ProxyBlocker utilizes proxy pattern detection, a unique signature-based technology, to identify and block Web-based proxies/anonymizers. These avoid detection by most URL (list-based) Internet filters because database updates can't keep up with the speed at which they are created, effectively establishing several "rabbit holes" that users escape through to reach unauthorized Web content.
The 8e6 ProxyBlocker intercepts requests for anonymous proxies on-the-fly, resulting in real-time protection. Additionally, this Web filtering solution identifies attempts to set up proxy tunnels, preventing these connections, and then records the number of times a user/student tries to access them. If enabled, the 8e6 ProxyBlocker denies Internet access to users who violate an organization's Acceptable Use Policy. 8e6 ProxyBlocker also blocks peer-to-peer and instant messaging applications.
