Spyware

Spyware (as well as, potentially unwanted programs such as intrusive adware) tracks personal, sensitive or confidential information, or changes the configuration of a PC for financial gain, and is designed to evade signature-based AV, URL filtering and reputation-based solutions. Spyware often accompanies the installation of other legitimate software such as a music or video file-sharing program. Spyware presents a serious problem for corporations. It can open the door to compromised confidential or sensitive data, reduced user productivity and poor network performance.
