Google AdWords Phishing

March 27, 2008

Over the last couple of days customers of Google AdWords have been targeted in a phishing scam. The emails look official and appear to be from addresses such as support@google.com and adwords-noreply@google.com . These phishing emails are being sent by the Pushdo botnet which is currently producing just over five percent of spam.

Clicking on the link will take you to a phishing website hosted in china that closely resembles the real Google AdWords login page. At the time we visited this page the Firefox 2 browser was identifying this website as a possible phishing site.
