The percentage of spam blocked on our Lab's live MailMarshal servers, running standard anti-spam rules.

Spam Message Size

The average size of a spam message. The usual value is between 3Kb-8Kb.

Spam % of Email

Spam as a percentage of total inbound email.

Spam Volume Index (SVI)

The SVI is an index that tracks relative changes in the volume of spam sent to a representative sample of the honeypot domains that we monitor.

Spam by Spambot Type

This chart is a percentage breakdown of spam received at our spam traps for each spambot type. Typically a small number of major botnets are responsible for the bulk of all spam.

Spambot Activity Over Time

This chart shows the history of spam received from each spambot type, as a percentage of total spam received.

Spam by Category

Spam broken down by categories. Spam touting Pharmaceutical and Replica products have traditionally accounted for the majority of all spam. For more information on the categories, see Spam Types.

Spam Sources by Country

This chart measures spam by country of origin as a percentage of all spam. The top 12 countries are ranked in order of the volume of spam they contribute from highest to lowest. As most spam is relayed through botnets, it is an indication of countries that have the most compromised hosts.
