Anstis will provide an overview of the email and Web methods that have been used to successfully steal information from these organisations, including blended email threats; malicious email attachments and spear-phishing, while highlighting the role of social engineering for targeting and manipulating individuals. M86 Security technologies provide advanced threat protection through real-time behavioural analysis of Web code and email traffic. They identify and block new malware that has been specifically designed to avoid detection and penetrate the email and Web gateways of organisations' networks. Its M86 Secure Web Gateway (SWG) has been awarded the CESG Claims Tested Mark, (CCTM), a certification by the UK Government's National Technical Authority for Information Assurance. The CCTM tests established that M86 SWG is able to offer immediate protection against zero day threats without the need for signature-based protection, eliminating the vulnerability window introduced by waiting for patches and updates from anti-virus vendors. The CCTM independently tested and verified the capability of M86's Real-time Code Analysis engine to detect and block threats in real time.
