M86 Security Reporter Delivers Real-Time Threat Monitoring, Extensive Historic Reporting Through Single Appliance

Complete Reporting Solution Reduces Total Cost of Ownership

RSA Conference® 2010 - Moscone Center - Booth #1151

San Francisco, Calif. - MARCH 1, 2010 - M86 Security, the global expert in real-time Web and email threat protection, today introduced the M86 Security Reporter, an appliance-based comprehensive reporting solution that incorporates the company's real-time dashboard reporting capabilities of M86 Threat Analysis Reporter and its deep historic forensic reporting of the M86 Enterprise Reporter into one, cost-efficient, appliance.

M86 Security Reporter produces summary executive reports on Web activity within the organization. These reports can be generated daily, weekly or monthly and offer visibility into top security threats as well as identifying those violating the organization's acceptable use policy. Additionally, these detailed reports provide insight into trends around the organization's overall Web traffic and usage trends in specific URL categories and custom category groups. Dashboard reporting provides real-time threat monitoring and policy management when combined with the M86 Web Filter. Because M86 Security Reporter operates on a dedicated appliance, it does not compromise filtering speed and performance compared to products operating or using the same hardware as a filter.

"As businesses continue to seek ways to operate more cost-effectively, the ability to run real-time and historic reporting on the same appliance lowers an organization's total cost of ownership through reduced maintenance and electricity costs," said Werner Thalmeier, vice president, product management, M86 Security. "Our M86 Security Reporter not only addresses real-time threat monitoring to expose potential security issues but furnishes administrators, department heads and security experts with historic reporting offering visibility into all Web-related user activity."

The M86 Security Reporter will be available on March 24, 2010 from authorized M86 distributors and resellers worldwide. Support for the M86 Secure Web Gateway will be available by the end of September, 2010.
