Product Manager, M86 Security Labs

As one of the leading vendors of Web and Email security solutions, M86 Security relies on its internal research labs for understanding malware and spam trends, providing and interpreting data, and providing input into the companies' products and research.

The Product Manager of M86 Security Labs plays a vital role on the implementation from M86's Security engines for malware, spam, and botnet across the M86 product lines. The position entails the assessment of the current threat landscape as well as the security needs from our customers and translates this into a technical integration plan for our products. He/She will act as first line contact for our sales field organization and sales partners.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the Director of M86 Security Labs and the development organization on the implementation from the M86 Security Labs engines and offerings into the M86 product family.
• Ensure consistent, reliable provision of security services to installed products and customer base.
• Assist on the production of publications of data including through the Web, social media and regularly-published security reports.
• Work with Marketing to identify any possible PR opportunities found through Security Labs research
• Prepare and write technology, product, and marketing collateral and sales tools including white papers and application notes used to educate the industry and customers.
• Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
• Act as first contact for sales and sales engineering for all questions related to M86 security offerings
• Generally market Security Labs people and services internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years relevant experience, ideally in B2B Product Management, or Product Marketing in network security environment.
• Product management and marketing skills in strategic planning, pricing, costing, competitive analysis, technical and marketing collateral development, product documentation, product promotion and launch, product roadmap development.
• Deep interest in the Internet threat landscape and how to improve the security and protect users.
• Demonstrable experience in analyzing Internet security risks and documenting security related topics.
• Willingness to travel and -as a plus- experienced with international PM and R&D organizations
• Understand the network security industry, and the technology trends, competitive landscape & customer needs that relate to the messaging security segment.
• Self-motivated, innovative person with analytical, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to changes and new ideas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.
• Minimum Bachelor's of science degree or similar discipline required. Graduate degree or field equivalent experience is highly preferred.
