Director, M86 Security Labs

As one of the leading vendors of Web and Email security solutions, M86 Security relies on its internal research labs for understanding malware and spam trends, providing and interpreting data, and providing input into the companies products and research.

The Director of M86 Security Labs plays a vital role in managing M86's malware, spam, and botnet research practices. The position entails managing the organization's research focus and objectives, analyzing and reporting on current security research, providing input to product development, maintaining current services to M86 products, and publishing findings and reports to internal and external constituents. He/She will act as lead external spokesperson for Security Labs with customers and at conferences and other external events.

The director will directly manage employees in the three main Security Lab locations in Orange California, Auckland New Zealand and Netanya Israel.

Responsibilities:

• Managing all Security Labs personnel
• Setting the short and long-term objectives of the Security Labs
• Developing and implementing a roadmap for Security Labs advancement in terms of services and resources
• Ensure consistent, reliable provision of security services to installed products and customer base
• Producing publications of data including through the Web, social media and regularly-published security reports
• Work with Marketing to identify any possible PR opportunities found through Security Labs research
• Work with Product Management in developing new products & services
• Lead external spokesperson for Security Labs
• Present at industry conferences and other company events
• Generally market Security Labs people and services internally and externally

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of direct IT Security experience.
• Deep interest in the Internet threat landscape and how to improve the security and protect users.
• Entrepreneurial approach to management, leading from the front.
• Demonstrable experience in analyzing Internet security risks and documenting security related topics.
• Self-motivated, innovative person with analytical, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to changes and new ideas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
• Minimum Bachelor's of science degree or similar discipline required. Graduate degree or field equivalent experience is highly preferred.
